WIFI is a device which enables electronic devices to wirelessly exchange data over a computer network. Hotspots are also known as access points and the average range of signal distance in a home is fifty metres.
Advantages:
- You can, providing you are connected to WIFI, work in many other places, such as: cafes and hotels.
-You are not confined to one specific workspace as there is connection on trains, buses and even some planes.
-There are less trailing wires, minimising the chance of a fall.
-Workspaces are much cleaner without the mass of wires.
-Without network wires, you don't need an electrician to install them.
Disadvantages:
- There is an extra danger of hackers reading messages.
- There is a limitation to how far you can use WIFI away from the source.
-Some people in range of your WIFI, can pick up your connection with their devices, effectively "stealing" something you have paid for.
