FAX
A fax, which stands for faxsimile,acts like a long distance photocopier by transferring data between fax machines. It works by placing the document into the fax machine and entering the telephone number of the recipient. The page is then scanned and converted into a binary coded alternative, which is passed along the telephone line and received by the desired person.
Advantages:
-Fax machines are safer than emails, which can sometimes contain viruses.
-Fax machines can not be intercepted by hackers.
-Faxed signed documents are legally acceptable.
Disadvantages:
-Faxes are usually printed out in area shared by other people, where they can be read without consent.
-Paper jams are common and wastes time.
-The receivers fax machine may not be turned on or out of paper, so sometimes people miss important documents.
-Information received cannot normally be edited by the receiver.

Video Conferencing
Video Conferencing allows two or more people, in different places, to talk and view each other on their electronic appliances. For videoconferencing to occur, you require a PC, a video compression card, a sound car, a microphone, a web cam and specialist software.
Advantages:
-There is less stress involved as they can be involved in meetings in the comfort of their own home , without worrying about road accidents and road works causing delays.
-You can improve your family life, as there is less time needed away from home spent at hotels during meetings.
-Saves travelling time.
-Less expensive as you don't have to spend money on travelling expenses, hotel rooms, meals, ect.
-Improved productivity as they have more time to work without travelling.
-Meetings can be called at short notice, without much planning needed.
-It is more enviromentally friendly as there is less people travelling, cutting down on carbon dioxide emmisions.
-Fewer car journeys means fewer traffic jams and accidents, hnece less stress and pollution.

-It can be expensive, as specialist videoconferencing is not cheap.
-Poor image and sound quality.
-It can make people self-consious and,therefore, the meetings are unuseful.
-A product or component cannot be passed around, so if you are pitching an idea, it would be stupid to use videoconferencing.
-If the participants of the conference are in distant locations, the picture can be out of sync with the speech, and be off-putting.

is a meeting between at least two people using devices that allow sounds (like speech) to be sent and recieved, a phone.
Web Conferencing
is a meeting betweena t least two people using an application, which can be downloaded or installed on to the attendees' computers or a web-based application can be launcghed to ocnnect thne two parties.
